- Switch on the device
- Select your preferred language and region
- In Quick Start page select Set up Manually
- Select your preferred Wifi network, enter the password and press Join
- In the Apps & Data screen select Don't Transfer Apps & Data
- The next screen should confirm that the device is managed by Minute Media/The Players Tribune, press Next (top right)
- Enter your Okta user name and password and authorise the login via Okta on your phone
- Continue to setup the iPad/iPhone – TouchID and PIN
- When prompted to enter an Apple ID, you can enter your AppleID or skip the AppleID section by selecting Don't have an Apple ID
- Enable Location Services at the next screen. This is used to keep your clock in sync as well as many other functions.
- Setup Siri if you like to use voice commands, otherwise skip the Siri setup
- Press Get Started
- You should see the home screen and apps should be downloading and installing - look for the Business app and open it
- Select Your Profiles on the left
- Press Gmail Install Now
- Open the iOS Mail app and set your preferences
- Tap Details… bottom left of screen
- Select Settings
- Select Re-enter Password and login to Okta again
- You should now have your mail and calendars although they can take a minute or two to download
The device is ready for use and you can use the Business app to also install the Microsoft Office apps and more without having to login to the AppStore. Make sure to charge your new iPhone/iPad for several hours when you get it. The first charge will affect how well the battery performs throughout its life. Note that new iPhones and iPads require 20-30W chargers to charge at full speed. Older chargers will take many hours to complete one charge.
