Target audience: User with a new and unused company provided Windows computer or a used computer that’s been wiped clean
Welcome to your new Windows computer. It is pre-configured and ready for you to login and use. After you do, several apps will be installed automatically including Google Chrome, Zoom, Slack and more. Please follow the instructions below to fully setup your new Windows computer.
Do not power up the machine until you are ready to go through the setup process. Stopping the setup half way through can cause problems.

Installation

Switch the machine on by pressing the power button. If you're connected to Ethernet (wired network), skip to step 7.
- At the first screen, select your country or region
- At the second screen, select your keyboard layout
- At the third screen, skip adding a second keyboard layout
- At the fourth screen, connect to your wifi network
- Once connected, reboot the machine. You may need to press and hold the power button depending on the make and model of the device

On rebooting your machine will check for updates and take you to a Minute Media sign-in page. Enter your minute media email address and click next

On the next page enter your password and click verify
- On the next page select to either enter an Okta verify code or get a push notification - refer to the Okta Verify app on your phone for the code or notification
- Re-enter your password if prompted
- Your machine will now go through an initial automated setup and a reboot - please wait and do not interrupt this process

Log in at the Windows login screen with your email address and password and wait for setup to complete
- If your machine has touch ID or facial recognition, follow the steps to set this up
- Re-enter your email address and password if prompted
- Create a PIN for your machine - this PIN is exclusive to this device and can be used to log in instead of your password
- When your machine reaches a desktop it's ready to use. Essential applications will continue to install in the background and may take a little time.
